Basil shakes his head, taking a step back. His hands are shaking when Kel takes the broom from hims, gripping tightly at the ends of his shirt.

"S-Sunny is... Sunny is our best friend, Kel...!" He's tensed up, attempting to breathe in on his own. "We all knew each other back at home! Y-You remember when we used to be with everyone, don't you? I know that this place has been really cruel lately, making us forget things, but... this is even meaner..."

It's as though the hole there that shouldn't be. He can't tell Sunny that this happened, he just can't. He'd be absolutely heartbroken... And, Basil knows that he's already heartbroken enough as it is.
