[And that was crazy to Luz. Who wouldn't want to see Basil?]
It's different. And Aubrey's got two other boyfriends which should bother me but...
I know a little about them, and I like and respect them both. I understand why they're her boyfriends too. It's all so different from what I knew back home.
( Just like Luz, it's different for him. Though, if Kel wanted to date someone else, it wouldn't really bother him, either. He'd support him no matter what. )
B-But, uhm... Just like Kel and I-- as long as the both of you are happy, then that's what's most important.
Maybe you're not really supposed to understand how it works completely. You just...meet people, and you find you care about them in different ways, and you're just trying to understand how it all works.
We're finding out where we stand there. The way we happened was unexpected.
Yeah. Whether it be friends, or... more than that. A-And, even if the other person doesn't know... it can still be really nice.
( He wonders if... Luz knows the truth about the relationship between both himself and Aubrey. He won't burden her with such knowledge. And, no matter what's happened between him and Aubrey, Basil really just wants her to find some sort of peace after everything that's happened. )
A-Alright. Let's go. Please, make yourself at home.
That's part of the fun of a blooming relationship if you ask me. You don't really see it coming, but you get to the friends part, which is great, and then you find something else starting to grow. It doesn't have to be huge, it just need the room to find itself, and slowly, it just brings you in.
It's nice.
[Luz felt the same way about all of them, but obviously that was pointedly something she hoped Aubrey found too. It was hard to forget the girl she first met, eyes full of fear and cold steel, with a fire that had immediately caught her eye.
She'd come a long way from that time, and it was good to watch it happen. She just hoped she helped there].
Thanks. I'll try not to put my feet up or anything.

And you were able to find love again here, too. I-I know it's not the same, but... I hope that Aubrey can make you really happy.

But I guess that was the same for you, huh?

( He thinks of Kel, and... No, no. Better to push that thought to the back of his mind. )
Yeah. I'm just glad that you could find Aubrey.
( He offers a small smile. )
Do you want to go inside...? Kel's not here, but if he does come home, he'd be glad to see you.

[Aw, come on Basil. You have feelings, let them out]!
Heh, yeah. Aubrey is...something else. Not that she needs me to tell her that.
[But she would, as often as she asked].
Yeah. I'd like that.
wrap here?

Sounds good to me!
