Surprise. This place is bursting at the seams with demons.

Fortunately for you I'm not like most demons. I love a bit of chaos now and then, but the whole torture, maiming, and being generally miserable, well, its just not much fun.

There were. I'm not sure how many managed to stick around around that whole crystal shattering time splinters everywhere diabolical. Lost a lot of people after that.

You know I've been here for over a year, met tons of people, had most of them at some point of other call me kind... And I'm still not used to it.

[Why couldn't everyone see what a wily and wicked serpent he was?

Sigh...

They weren't wrong.

Good on you for keeping up with the magic. I did wonder how you were making out with it.

People come and go all the time. It's what they do.

[It was tough however when they were friends. Crowley is just trying to play that off. ]

I suppose most of the people who have said that to me do mean it. Still feels odd.

I suppose there's some truth to that.

[Little did he know now how painful a loss could be. He would find out later when Aziraphale leaves.

By definition I don't suppose it's 'bad'. If you are giving some one a compliment that's generally meant to be 'good' unless... its a backhanded compliment or one issued with a heavy douse of sarcasm.
