Oh - you had fire magic at home...?

I never knew that magic was real before coming here... It's amazing to think that it's not just here, but other places, too...

Then, did you drink your potion when you came here, too?

Yup, I did.

It's not considered magic at home, more like special powers since not two people can have the same one.

I did drink my potion! I can heal little cuts!

So, it's kind of like special magic...? It sounds like not everyone can do it if only one person can do a certain kind.

Healing magic is really amazing... Knowing that it's here makes this place a little less scary.

You think so? I can't heal big wounds, maybe I never will, but I think it's a cool power to have.

My friend Kel can do water magic.
And he said that others have been able to get new magic, too.
So, maybe you can get some fire magic here...

I think if you practice a lot, your magic can get stronger.
So maybe you'll get to heal bigger wounds, too.

That's pretty cool! I'm hoping i'll get my original powers back, since with them I can turn into fire itself.

Not at all! It's really cool because I can hurt others with fire, but not myself.

OH, you know, when you get into a fight and have to win, you have to hurt the other person.

I... hope that you don't have to fight anyone here. But, I know that things can get pretty violent...

Yeah, fighting isn't always necessary, but hey, if I need to fight, I will! With or without powers!

But, that means that -- this world might be a little safer? At least, I think that even though it can be dangerous, there's also times when things calm down...

It is. It's a bunch of islands where people live and there's a lot of bad people in them.

I hope it is. I don't want to fight my way through everything here.

What? That's... really scary. It's no wonder you had to fight...

I don't think you will. At least... I hope not, too. There's a lot of really kind people here who want to help when things get bad.

I think that's really courageous of you. I'd like to be able to help out, too... but, I don't really know anything about using magic, and I don't really like to fight.

Even if you can't use magic of fight, there's many ways to help! You can help by using medicine, or encouraging others.

Not really, back home we just have doctors and healers, but not many have healing powers.

Are healers and doctors different from each other, then?

I think so? Doctors seem to only work in hospitals or ships, while healers are all over.

[photographists]

I see. In this place, it might be the same...

But wow, ships? It sounds like traveling really happens a lot back where you're from... It'd be kind of nice to see all sorts of places.
